Welcome to The University of York Women's Rugby Club's official website!

Watch our team video to learn more about us:

We are one of York's most diverse and successful clubs, with both of our BUCS teams performing well within our leagues, cup games and Roses.

In the 2021/22 season, our first team placed second in the Northern Premiership division and our second team achieved promotion into North division 2.

Winners of Club of the Year 2020 and Team of the Year in both 2018 and 2019 at the York Sport Union Colours Ball, we are a welcoming and inclusive club and accept players of any ability - even if you've never picked up a rugby ball in your life!

Our first team is a performance squad but we don't trial, so just turn up at training and try your best and you'll be considered for one of our teams!

In between matches and training we make time for fantastic socials both themed and formal, drinking and non-drinking, throughout the year - perfect after a tough game when we need to unwind.

So, if you're looking to try something new this year, or simply continue playing a great sport, then come down to training to see what we're all about. The only entry requirements are enthusiasm and willingness to learn something new - once you start you'll never look back!

Look through this website to find out more about the club, or join this year's Facebook groupFor information on the 2021/2022 season, contact us and we'll get back to you ASAP, or come and find us at training!
